Christmas in Aurora, CO

I flew up to Aurora, CO, Christmas evening and spent several days with Brian, Donna and grandson Joshua. I left Phoenix with balmy weather.....

and arrived to a snowy winter wonderland.

One afternoon we went bowling.

Not too bad!

At 14, my grandson loves to eat. We went to BDs Mongolian BBQ and he loaded up with lamb and beef, with a little cheese.

Down the street was the train station.

Even though the station itself is quite old, it is still in use.

This was the current schedule for Amtrak.

Although I don't have pictures, I introduced my grandson to geocaching. Believe it or not, we went geocaching in the snow and found 5 out of 5, and 4 were micros. Hopefully I have given him the 'bug'.

Hey, you were in our neck of the woods. Wasn't the snow beautiful? Interesting about the California Zephyr. I'd love to ride that from Denver to California.
